Jose Henrique vs Yusaku Kinoshita
Jose Henrique is only 20 years old. He’s 6’5 with a 78.5 inch reach. He’s skinny as all hell and has been fighting at 185 pounds. He’s dropping down to 170 for this fight. He’s still green, a little slow, lacks natural athletic ability and explosion, but he has snap on the end of his punches and kicks. Throws strikes with good technique and uses his reach wells. Has long legs and he will blast you with knees. Works the body well. His striking style and skinniness reminds me of a young Diaz. Takedown defense is a liability. This kids biggest strengths are his size, cardio and chin. I think this kid may have a legendary chin
Yusaku is 5-1, but realistically he’s undefeated. His loss was a DQ for using the fence as leverage while he stomped on this dudes head. Head stomps were legal, grabbing the fence was not. Yusaku is an explosive athlete, all his wins are by finish. Throws everything with bad intention.
Yusaku has the higher ceiling, but I’m scared for him in this fight. Jose does not go away and has proven he can take a beating and then dish one right back. The reach may also cause problems for Yusaku. If Jose can survive early I think he wins this fight. Could be a good live betting spot.
Matej Penaz vs Sedriques Dumas
Penaz is a very exciting prospect. He started his career as a mauy Thai practitioner and as he succeeded in that he moved on to glory kickboxing where he also succeeded. He’s a long fighter, has a great jab. He does tend to get hit, but has shown a decent chin to this point. He’s spent some time training with Alexander Gustafsson and Khamzat so hopefully they have rubbed off on him a bit. Dude is a finisher always looking to end the fight. Very accurate with his punches and kicks. Ground game is a big question mark
Dumas is an ATHLETE. He’s very fast and very strong. He uses his strength to overcome technique. It’s very prevalent in his ground game, which isn’t bad by the way, but he can do things to reverse position that not many are capable of. He loves to strike and hits very very hard.
This is the fight I’m looking forward to the most on the card. No way it makes it to the judges score cards, so I will be hammering the ITD. For as technical as Penaz is on the feet, he gets hit far too much. Dumas will also have a huge advantage on the ground. Going Dumas here
Mateusz Rebecki vs Rodrigo Lidio
Rebecki can do it all. His grappling is off the charts and he can hang on the feet to get it to the ground. He trains at American top team and has helped Gamrot out in the past, which is interesting because they have a similar style. He is relentless when he gets you to the ground. Brutal ground and pound and constant submission attempts. Very strong for a light weight.
Lidio is a striker with massive power. He’s very smart with his strikes and throws them very accurately. He will be the bigger man in this fight. Confident in his bjj. If he can keep this fight standing he has a really good chance of winning this fight
Another one that I’m really looking forward to. Two guys who have been around a little while and are ready to make a splash in the UFC. If it stays standing I favor Lidio, but I doubt he can keep it there. I’m going with the polish power and this is another fight I highly doubt makes it to the score cards
