What’s up guys! This week is UFC Long Island and our survivor pool starts this week! 20 dollar buy in, winner takes all! We are using league safe to deal with money and payouts so that we can assure everyone’s money is safe and goes to the right place. So far we’ve had 23 sign ups! This does not include 3 of you who have signed up, but not paid. Make sure you pay by Friday! With that said here are the rules
Everyone starts with 3 picks. If all 3 of your fighters win you will continue to have 3 picks. If one of your fighters loses you will only have 2 picks the next week. If two of your fighters lose you will only have one pick the next week and if all 3 of your fighters lose you are out. Last man standing wins. The tournament will run like this until there is a winner***
You will not be allowed to pick a -300 favorite or greater. This will make things a little more interesting
If you pick an underdog that is +150 or greater (and they win) then you will gain an additional pick the following week. This is capped at one additional pick per week regardless of how many underdogs you take.
I will allow you to grab early lines, but their are a few rules with doing this. To be fair if you lock in an early line it is locked in even if odds move in your favor. So locking an early lineup can work for or against you. You also will only be allowed to lock in a pick after the previous event has ended. So no grabbing lines weeks or months out
For the sake of making things easy we will be using DraftKings for odds. I realize not everyone uses DraftKings, but you can easily look up the lines. Bestfightodds has them.
If I catch you cheating by giving me a fake line you are out. No second chances.
Once you send me picks they are locked in. So make sure you are certain.
If a fight gets canceled you will need to send me a replacement pick. Sometimes fights get canceled way last minute. Because of this I recommend you sending me at least one “backup” pick. Make sure you label it as back up
Send me picks by EMAILING them to me. I was going to have you dm me, but those can easily get lost in the sauce. Email will be more efficient. My email is Kyle.NeverHedge@gmail.com
***If this pool runs for longer than 3 months I will send out an email to remaining players with options on how to proceed. We may make things more difficult, split the pot, with or just keep playing how we’ve been playing. It will come down to a vote.
There will be no buying back in. Once you’re out you’re out.
