Chris Curtis - this is a really good matchup for him. I was shocked to see him open as the dog. Yes Buckley is explosive, but Curtis has the technique to outclass him. Curtis also hits hard enough to put him away. After watching the faceoffs I expect Buckley to come out wild. Curtis will exploit the holes and get the finish
Darren Till - this is an interesting one because of the long lay off, but Dricus has major holes in his striking. He comes at you chin first and only knows one speed. His aggression will be his downfall. Till will find that chin. I’ve heard people question Tills heart this week. I actually think Till wants to improve and has been working his ass off. The guy has become a Twitter joke, but he gets back on track against a good, but flawed opponent this week
Jared Gordon - I know you guys are cringing at this pick, but has everyone forgot what Paddy looks like in the cage? He’s very beatable. He got taken down and lost round 1 in his last fight to Leavitt. Paddy is dangerous and says he’s submitted Gordon before. I think Gordon comes out, out boxes Paddy and takes him down. Would I be shocked if paddy catches him with a huge punch or submission, no I won’t. But at the current line I will take a shot at Gordon
Bryce Mitchell - this dude shut me the fuck up in his last fight. He really impressed me. His takedowns are legit, his cardio is legit and his striking is improving. Tuporia is a guy I’ve been very high on. He has all the skills and athleticism to be great. One problem with Tuporia is his gas tank and his chin. I think the style clash is in the favor of Mitchell. Mitchell out lasts the early onslaught and implements his wrestling to get a Dec win
Alex Hernandez - I like the move down in weight. He looked great at the weigh ins. He’s got power, I expect improved cardio. I know moving down that’s not the norm, but he carried so much extra muscle it was draining him. Billy Q is good, but he can be caught. I think he gets caught today
Santiago Ponzinibio - the guy is just really good. Alex Morono is tough, but on short notice I think he gets styled on a bit. Pretty confident in Ponzinibio by finish
Magomed Ankalaev - I’ve been saying he’s going to be champ for a long time now. He now gets an awesome matchup where he should be better on the feet and on the ground. People saying he can get caught on the feet, but I don’t see it. Ankalaev gets a finish tonight
Edmen Shahbazyan - Dalcha is just not that good. This is a get right fight. Shahbazyan by finish
