UFC Vegas 64
Hey guys sorry for the abbreviated breakdown this week. I think most of you know, but for those who didn’t see my tweet, I had a death in the family this week. It was expected, everyone is doing okay, but the finality of it is always hard. With that said I’ve had a busy week. I still was able to breakdown the fights, but haven’t had the time like normal to do my show or to put it in words for you guys. Next week will be back to normal!
Ramona Pascual - should be the bigger of the two and Ramona has that dog in her. She’s willing to dig deep. Has had some tough fights in the UFC, but I like her progression and willingness to get better. I’m also not impressed with her opponent
Darrick Minner - Minner is a wild man in the ring. He goes for broke and try’s to get that finish fast. He does have James Krause in his corner and seems to have a little better gas tank now, but he is still most dangerous round 1. He does have power in his feet, has good takedowns and he’s a bjj guy. For those of you that have been following me a while, you know I always bet on Minner. I actually love his skill set. This is a good matchup for him and I see him being better on the feet, Sholinian goes for a takedown because of it and gets subbed
Chase Sherman - If you’ve been following me a while you also know I’ve always been high on Chase Sherman’s skill set as well. His one problem is his mental game. He can quit on you. This is a problem as he climbs the ranks. Should not be a problem here. I see Chase ending this early
Mario Bautista - looked so good against Kelleher. Kid is good everywhere. This is a step down for him. I see domination
Tagir Ulanbekov - has been training with Khabib and Islam since they were kids. Iron sharpens iron. They have the blue print already to win this with takedowns. I think we see improvements for Tagir and improvements against Manness as a matchup for the team. Tagir gets the sub in the first. I don’t like the drop in weight for Manness on top of everything else
Jake Hadley - all week I thought I was fading this guy, but I just can’t do it. On tape it seems to me that he is the better of the two fighters. Pretty clearly too. I can’t not have him on the card in some way when I get that read
Neil Magny - Magny may be my all time cash cow through out my time betting on UFC. I’d say it’s either him or Jim Miller. If he’s not over the hill, this is a perfect matchup for him. He should win the grappling and give Rodriguez fits against the cage. Don’t think Rodriguez has that high of a ceiling. I like the line and I like Neil
Marina Rodriguez - should be the bigger of the two. Will have the better striking and if Dern couldn’t submit her than no one can. I like Rodriguez to keep it standing and maybe get a late finish. Don’t like the delay in Lemos’ travel either.
